Description | The Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) under the Ministry of Mines invites applications for ten posts of Deputy Mineral Economist (Intelligence) in Level-11 of the Pay Matrix (โน67,700โโน2,08,700) on deputation including short-term contract basis. Duties include: supervising Assistant Mineral Economists and Mineral Officers in collection, compilation, tabulation, and analysis of data related to mines, minerals, mineral-based industries, and exploration agencies; preparation of various publications like Indian Mineral Year Book, Bulletin on Mineral Information, and Market Survey Reports; preparation/updation of National Mineral Inventory (NMI); replying to Parliament Questions and Ministry references; updating Directory of Mining Leases; and matters related to the Mineral Advisory Board. Eligibility (as per Recruitment Rules): Officers from Central/State Government, UT Administration, PSUs, Universities, recognized Research Institutions, Autonomous or Statutory Bodies. Holding analogous post on regular basis OR with 5 yearsโ regular service in Level-10 (โน56,100โโน1,77,500) or equivalent. Educational Qualification: Masterโs Degree in Geology/Applied Geology/Economics OR Bachelorโs Degree in Mining Engineering from recognized University/Institute. Experience: 5 years in mineral economics (demand-supply studies, market survey, mineral inventory, mineral legislation, world mineral intelligence, economic investigation of mineral resources, production/consumption/utilization analysis, and dissemination of mineral information). Other Conditions: Max age limit: 56 years as on closing date. Period of deputation: ordinarily not exceeding 4 years. |
