| Description | Description The Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) invites applications for Computer Based and Oral Examinations in December 2025 for various Certificates of Competency under the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961, the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, and the Mines Act, 1952. Examination Centres: Ajmer, Asansol/Durgapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Neyveli, Bhilai, Bhubaneswar, Bokaro, Cuttack, Dhanbad, Ghaziabad & Delhi/NCR, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Nagpur, Raipur, Bilaspur, Varanasi, Ranchi, Udaipur, and others (for CBT); Dhanbad, Ranchi, Sitarampur, Ajmer, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Ghaziabad, and Guwahati (for Oral). Schedule: CBT: 08–12 December 2025 Oral Exams (Mate’s, Blaster’s, Gas Testing): 10–12 December 2025 Oral Exams (Winding Engine Driver’s): 10–12 December 2025 Certificates Offered: Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961: Manager’s, Foreman’s, Surveyor’s, Mate’s, Blaster’s, Gas Testing, Winding Engine Driver’s (1st & 2nd Class) – Unrestricted/Restricted. Coal Mines Regulations, 2017: Manager’s, Overman’s, Surveyor’s, Sirdar’s, Mate’s, Blaster’s, Winding Engine Driver’s (Coal) – Unrestricted/Restricted. Fees: Manager’s (MMR): ₹100–₹75; Manager’s (CMR): ₹1200–₹900 Overman’s/Surveyor’s (Coal): ₹600; Sirdar’s (Coal): ₹400; Foreman’s/Surveyor’s (Metal): ₹50; Mate’s (Metal): ₹30; Blaster’s (Metal): ₹25; Gas Testing: ₹300 Winding Engine Driver’s: ₹30 (1st Class Metal), ₹25 (2nd Class Metal), ₹300 (Coal) (Payable online via www.bharatkosh.gov.in) Eligibility: As per relevant regulations and byelaws.
